Professional Dry Cleaning

Special fluids and solvents are used in a dry cleaning machine to remove soil and stains from fabric. It is called dry cleaning because the fluid contains little or no water and does not penetrate and weaken the fibers in the way water does. Advantages include the ability to dissolve greases and oils in a way that soap and water cannot. Natural fibers, such as wool, dry clean beautifully, but when washed in water, can shrink and distort. Silks are generally more color and finish stable when dry cleaned, although one must be very knowledgeable to properly spot clean these garments. Synthetic fibers such as polyester also respond well to dry cleaning, as oily spots will come out easily. Proper dry cleaning helps to return your garments to a ‘like-new’ condition.

Professional dry cleaning involves many different operations, all performed by skilled people, and designed to give your garments a fresh, clean appearance. All merry go round staff are highly trained in their area of expertise to properly identify, clean and/or finish all garments, and to exercise a number of special procedures when handling your items.

Shirt Laundry

Items such as men’s dress shirts, fine bed and table linen, etc. Are pre-treated and washed with additives, soap and water before being pressed . These items are pressed wet with laundry pressing equipment using high pressure and high heat to produce the fine, crisp finish. The finished laundry garments are done with your choice of medium or heavy starch, or no starch at all. Shirts are usually hung on hangers or put in a box, whichever you prefer. Linens are professionally folded and wrapped, or can be hung, if you like.

Wash & Fold Laundry

Also known as fluff & fold, it’s laundry, like t-shirts, jeans, towels, sheets, etc. That’s just washed, dried and folded. It’s the laundry you can do at home, but if you’re too busy or have better things to do with your time, we’ll do it for you ! The whites and colors are separated before washing. We use special unscented soap, so if you have sensitive skin, it shouldn’t bother you. We know how to wash and dry your laundry so whites & colors are just the way it should be… Clean and fresh. Each item is then nicely folded and packaged in blue paper.

Household Items

We clean and freshen up your household items, such as area rugs, couch covers, drapery, curtains and decorative pillows. Items such as blankets, comforters, bed pillows, and throw rugs are usually washed and dried, but may be dry cleaned, depending on the fabric, fiber content, spot, or other special considerations. Be assured that you’ll be happy with the end results!
